Job Title: Manager – Operations Excellence
Location: Nepal (with frequent travel to logistics facilities nationwide)

Job Purpose:
The Manager – Operations Excellence is responsible for driving continuous improvement across all logistics operations in Nepal. The role focuses on identifying operational inefficiencies, designing and implementing improvement strategies using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies, ensuring compliance to quality standards, promoting a culture of operational excellence, and enabling digitization and automation of logistics processes. This role will also lead cross-functional initiatives to improve customer and seller satisfaction while supporting long-term business growth and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
- Conduct detailed gap analyses and identify areas for improvement across logistics operations.
- Lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing productivity.
- Drive standardization and implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other quality management practices.
- Implement value stream mapping (VSM) to optimize end-to-end logistics workflows.
Quality Management & Compliance
- Plan and execute internal quality and process audits across logistics facilities.
- Ensure adherence to internal SOPs, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions to reduce operational issues and recurrence.
Digitization & Automation
- Identify manual and redundant tasks and implement digital solutions to automate operations.
- Collaborate with BI/Product teams to introduce scalable automation tools and dashboards.
- Develop and maintain real-time performance monitoring dashboards to track KPIs.
Operational Excellence Strategy
- Develop and execute an Operations Excellence roadmap across logistics facilities.
- Support the rollout of corporate Ops Excellence programs and PMO initiatives.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for continuous improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, commercial, product, etc.) and external partners to align operational goals.
- Incorporate customer and seller feedback to improve service delivery and experience.
- Communicate effectively across all levels, including local teams and global HQ stakeholders.
Training & Capability Building
- Design and deliver training programs on quality and operations excellence tools for management and operations teams.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement by coaching teams on mindset and behavior transformation.
People & Team Management
- Lead and mentor Operations Excellence associates and team leads.
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide development opportunities to team members.
Cost Optimization
- Develop initiatives to reduce logistics cost per order while maintaining or improving service levels.
- Identify key process improvement areas and ensure execution through structured tracking and reporting mechanisms.
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
- B.E. / M.E. / MBA in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering from a reputed institution.
- Certified in Lean and/or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred).
- Additional certifications in quality management, operations excellence, or related fields are advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in operational excellence, quality management, or logistics process improvement roles.
- Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement tools and driving results in logistics or supply chain functions.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (e-commerce preferred).
Skills & Competencies:
Technical Skills:
- Strong command of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, VSM, 5S, and other quality management tools.
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Experience with ERP and logistics management systems.
