Business Development & Project Manager

Position Summary

This role is responsible for driving strategic business growth and managing key commercial projects across the marketplace. The BD & Project Manager will lead initiatives that enhance seller performance, streamline fulfillment and operations, and ensure a high-quality platform experience for both customers and sellers. The role requires a strong mix of business development acumen, cross-functional project leadership, and execution excellence to align teams and deliver scalable results.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional projects related to third-party vendors (3PVs), fulfillment operations, seller onboarding optimization, and customer experience improvements.
  • Deliver the seller insights, seller acquisition, seller education, seller growth and seller retention programs necessary to power Daraz seller base growth in Nepal
  • Drive business growth by identifying new seller opportunities and managing key commercial partnerships.
  • Deliver the required programs to ensure sustainable assortment growth both in quantity, quality and price competitiveness
  • Support the Commercial team in developing and managing roadmaps to drive healthy assortment growth
  • Collaborate with local, regional and external   stakeholders to ensure aligned execution of marketplace strategies.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Master's degree in management or engineering
  • 6-8 years of work experience in management consulting, technology industry, or other on a leadership/managerial role in commercial/sales or business development function (e-commerce experience preferred but not required)
  • Ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of complex global businesses
