Job Overview
As an Associate in the Operations Excellence team, you will support and implement process improvement initiatives across all logistics operations including First Mile, Sortation, Line Haul, and Last Mile. You will work closely with various operational teams to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, enhance productivity, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This role involves audits, data analysis, quality checks, training programs, and the application of quality management practices to elevate logistics performance across Nepal.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Improvement: Identify and analyze inefficiencies across logistics processes and eliminate waste through strategic planning and process optimization.
- Lean Management Practices: Promote and embed Lean principles into daily operations across the logistics network.
- Continuous Improvement Projects: Support and execute projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing cost per order, and improving customer experience.
- Root Cause Analysis & Countermeasures: Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Quality Management Tools: Apply quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma and Kaizen to ensure high operational standards.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with teams across First Mile, Sortation, Line Haul, Last Mile, and support functions to drive integration and visibility.
- Training & Development: Assist in training staff across departments on operational excellence practices and quality standards.
- KPI Monitoring: Monitor and report key logistics KPIs through dashboards and performance tracking tools.
- Quality Audits: Perform SOP and quality audits at logistics sites, share scores with leadership, and follow up on improvements.
- Cost Optimization & Customer Satisfaction: Contribute to reducing logistics costs and improving end-customer experience.
- Nationwide Audits: Participate in scheduled operational audits at logistics hubs and facilities across Nepal to uphold standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field from a reputable institution. A data background is preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in process improvement, logistics operations, or performance management.
- Technical Skills:
- - Solid understanding of supply chain, warehousing, and logistics functions.
- - Exposure to Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (certification is a plus).
- - Hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, and data warehousing tools is desirable.
