Daraz, South Asia’s leading e-commerce platform and part of the Alibaba Group, is looking for a Lead – Cost & Performance to join our high-impact Finance team. This role is instrumental in enabling data-driven decisions, driving cost optimization, and improving operational efficiency across our ventures in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Myanmar.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Cost Management & Optimization

  • Analyze fixed and variable cost components across ventures and functional areas

  • Develop cost efficiency KPIs (e.g., Cost per Order, Cost per Package, Cost per Item) and monitor trends

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead initiatives to improve financial efficiency

🔹 Performance Tracking

  • Design and maintain performance dashboards across logistics and warehousing

  • Benchmark performance across hubs, cities and countries to highlight improvement areas

  • Support functional heads in understanding cost drivers and making informed decisions

🔹 Forecasting & Planning

  • Support monthly rolling forecasts and business reviews with detailed cost outlooks

  • Work with functional teams to analyze variances and track actuals against targets

🔹 Reporting & Analytics

  • Build and automate reports using Power BI and Excel to improve cost and performance visibility

  • Conduct deep-dive and root-cause analysis to support strategic business cases

🔹 Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a finance business partner to Logistics & Warehousing functions

  • Drive cross-functional alignment on performance goals and cost efficiency

 

Who We’re Looking For:

✔ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
✔ 3–5 years of relevant experience in cost performance , business controlling, or FP&A, roles
✔ Strong command of financial modeling and data analysis
✔ Advanced Excel and Power BI skills are a must; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., MS-Dynamics, SAP or Oracle NetSuite ) is a plus
✔ Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
✔ Prior experience in e-commerce, logistics, or FMCG sectors will be an advantage
