SCCS in Myanmar

Shop.com.mm has concluded SCCS 2017. The Grand Finale was held at Sule Shangri-La Hotel Yangon where the top 8 teams presented to the Judging Panel comprising of Shop Management Team and Unilever Marketing. The teams were judged on 10 different parameters and the best 3 teams came as Winners. Leaving behind other participants, the students of Team Lumos won the first position of Shop Championship Case Study worth 2,000,000 kyatsTeam Young entrepreneurs bagged the second position and Team Triangle took the third position. The winners of the second and third positions were awarded with cash prizes of 1,000,000 kyats and 500,000 kyats respectively. The team members will now be invited for an interview where once selected, they will be part of our DFLP Program.

DCCS 2017 Nepal

Daraz Nepal organized the first ever national DCCS Championship in Nepal in partnership with Ace Institute of Management, one of the leading business schools in Nepal. The event, which saw a total of 18 business colleges compete for the honors, was held in two stages.

The preliminary round of the competition was held at Ace Institute of Management premises on 15th July, 2017. The 18 participating teams were divided into two groups with top 3 teams from each group to qualify for the Grand Finale. The teams were judged by a panel comprising of six judges from both the industry and academia. All the participating teams were given a case study related to Daraz a week in advance. Out of the 18 colleges, Ace Institute of Management, Islington College, The British College, UniglobeCollege, Ace International Business School and Kantipur Valley College got a place for the Grand Finale.

The Grand Finale was held at hotel Yak and Yeti on 22nd July, 2017. The teams were judged by panels of industry experts.. Islington College was selected the winner of the first ever Daraz Championship Case Study in Nepal. They bagged the winner’s trophy and a cash prize of Rs.100,000. Kantipur Valley College finished as first runner up while Ace International Business School won the second runner up They were awarded cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 25000 respectively.

The event was appreciated by both academia and industry and we look forward to doing even better DCCS in Nepal next year.

Shop Championship Case Study 2017 Myanmar

As the first time in Myanmar, Shop.com.mm has organized Shop Championship Case Study contest aiming to create opportunities for university students and new graduates. All case studies were released online on 15th July 2017. In the preliminary round, 40 participants entered the contest and 15 were selected to go into the second round. Out of 15 teams, 9 teams were selected for the final round. These nine qualified teams will be competing for the first prize worth 2,000,000 kyats. For second and third positions, the winners will be awarded 1,000,000 kyats and 500,000 kyats respectively. The Grand Finale will be held at Sule Shangrila Hotel on 17th August 2017 and it will be shown on MITV as well. Congratulations to all the qualified teams and we wish you the best of luck !
